Another week, same factors.
Brexit continues to dominate the markets, only now it seems to be transforming from an urgent issue to a chronic one. The EU extended the deadline until the end of October. The EU’s aim in granting the extension must be the hope that Britain either a) gives up the idea entirely, or b) has another referendum or another election that winds up deciding not to go ahead with Brexit, and it all disappears into the past like the gossamer strands of a dream that are broken upon waking up.
