The U.S. dollar aimed lower versus its major counterparts last Friday, thus declining from its 14-years highest zone, amid the investors and the traders capturing their profits prior to the end of Friday's trading session.

U.S. dollar index lower to 103.00

The U.S. dollar index traded to 103.00, dipping 0.1%. On a weekly basis, the index appreciated less than 0.1%.

The USD/JPY declined to 117.34 and aimed lower from last week's 118.65 area, thus the pair losing 0.5% for the week.

The EUR/USD traded to 1.0456, tacking on 0.2%, while the GBP/USD pair declined as low as 1.2229.
