U.S.'s government reported, for the month of July, a budget deficit of $113 billion, thus recording a drop of 24% compared to last year's same month, the Treasury Department said yesterday.
U.S.'s July 2015 deficit at $149 billion
Based on the monthly budget statement, as per the Treasury, the nation's government had, for July 2015, a deficit of $149 billion. The analysts were expecting a deficit of $113 billion for last month.
The deficit, year-to-date, was $514 billion, 10% higher compared to last year's July figure of $466 billion.
Furthermore, last month's receipts recorded a 7% decrease, standing at $210 billion, compared to July, last year.
Moreover, the outlays were also lower, reporting a 14% drop compared to July last year, standing at $323 billion.
