U.S.'s jobless claims climbed more than the initial expectations, the Department of Labour reported.

The number of initial claims increased to 277,000, for the week that ended June 11, compared to last week's 264,000 figure.

U.S.'s initial claims to 2.157 million, in total, on June 14

For the week that ended June 14, the continuing jobless claims climbed from 2.112 million to 2.157 million.

Australia

The Australian employment change climbed from 10.8K to 17.9K. The economists predicted the indicator to appreciate 15.0K.

Australia's rate of unemployment stabilized at 5.7% and matched the economists' and the analysts' predictions.

Euro zone

The region's consumer price inflation stabilized at -0.1% and met the analysts' predictions for stabilization.

The euro zone's core consumer price inflation stabilized at 0.8% and matched the analysts' predictions.
