South Africa's, Pravin Gordhan, Finance Minister is under investigation, a condition that destabilized the nation's government and created fear and uncertainty in one of the most industrialized economies, Mcebisi Jonas, the deputy finance minister said today.
South Africa's Gordhan spying on politicians
The issue was raised after Pravin Gordhan disobeyed to follow the police's inquiry to state whether or not he was involved, or rather have used a tax service unit for spying on politicians, including the President.
Following this incident, and amid the investigation having taken place, the nation's currency, the rand, declined approximately 3%.
Moreover, according to Mcebisi Jonas, this negative outcome does not destabilize the economy but creates uncertainty.
