Japan's Aso monitoring the yen closely

Japan's, Taro Aso, Finance Minister placed a new warning on the restrengthening of the Japanese yen, stating that he would somehow ''respond'' should it be the scenario of aggressive movements in the FX market.

The Finance Minister stated further that he will be monitoring the British referendum, as of next week, where the citizens will decide whether their nation should remain, or not, being a member of the European Union.

Amid the worries on British citizens upcoming voting in the referendum, taking place on June 23, the Japanese yen is trading close to the 105.73 zone, a six-week high.

Despite that the yen is perceived to be a safe-haven currency, Japan's officials are worried about a probable spike in the currency in the scenario of a Brexit.

Aso stated further that aggressive moves are not welcomed, and stability is the objective at the current state of affairs.
