France's private sector activity rises faster

France's, euro zone's second biggest economy, private sector activity escalated at the fastest rhythm in August, within a period of ten months, thus easing the economic outlook concerns, recent surveys and data reported today.

France's Composite Output Index to 51.6

The Flash France Composite Output Index, as per the Markit source of credit derivative pricing, appreciated to 51.6 in August from 50.1 in July, thus surpassing the estimations for a 50.4 reading.

Furthermore, the preliminary services PMI reached the 52.2 zone, still above the expectations of July's 50.5 figure.

The nation's manufacturing purchasing managers’ index missed the expectations for a 48.8 reading thus having dropped as low as 48.5.

Moreover, the private sector has improved for the second consecutive month until August, with the service providers increasing their business activity. The manufacturing sector was stable after a construction within a four months period.
