Expert's opinion from FXFinPro

The British pound is likely to rise to 1.5000 after the referendum

Volatility of the British currency continues to remain high amid speculation on the country's possible exit from the European Union after a referendum on the issue, which will be held on 23 June. The opponents of such a move are likely to be in the majority during the referendum, but speculation on this issue may lead to a strong price movement in the near future. According to our estimates, after the referendum, the British currency quotes will renew growth and return to the level of 1.5000, but at the same time we should not forget about the likely strengthening of the US dollar in anticipation of the Fed raising interest rates.
