Britain’s referendum, G7 leaders’ topic

Britain's June referendum was a major topic under discussion at the G7 finance leaders and academics informal symposium, G7 source reported today.

Britain's exit would mean uncertainty

The leaders agreed that, should Britain exit the European Union, the financial instability and uncertainty could rise.

The participants agreed that sustainable growth cannot be reached by relying only on monetary policy.

Furthermore, the source indicated that the participants recognized that investment and structural reforms can improve growth, instead of aggressive stimulus schemes.

Moreover, the central bank leaders and G7 finance ministers are gathering to discuss, in northeastern Japan, Sendai, the worldwide economy, and the risks.
