Britain's economy, having decided to leave the European Union, will likely be facing tremendous pressures with rising costs, this year and the next, the EU economics commissioner stated today.

As per the Pierre Moscovici's speech in Brussels, there will be tangible effects on the economy, and the uncertainty could escalate in 2017 and 2018.

The British gross domestic product climbed, between October and December, at the rate of 0.6%, on a quarterly basis, the Office for National Statistics highlighted.
