Brazil's car makers' daily output weakens

ArgusFX

Brazil's car makers no longer need to clear inventories via trimming production, Anfavea's automaker group head said today, amid the data in August having shown that, since January, the daily output was at the lowest levels.

Brazil's automobile production declines

The nation's automobile production, for the period July to August, declined 6.4% while having decelerated from a year earlier 18.4%, Anfavea highlighted.

The revenues, since the previous month, climbed 1.4% but still resume 11.3% lower compared to August 2015.

According to Antonio Megale, Anfavea's President, the level of sales could start rising toward the end of this year, while getting much stronger in 2017.

Furthermore, Brazil was perceived to be the fifth largest auto market before the downturn, resuming though being an operational base for Ford Motor Co, Fiat Chrysler Automobiles, Volkswagen AG, and General Motors Co.
