Investors interested in the Eurozone economy should check out the Sentix Investor Confidence survey for September, released at 08:30 on Monday the 6th, and previously reported at minus 9.8 percent.
Currency-moving events start on Tuesday the 7th with Bank of Japan’s interest rate decision, released at 03:00, and previously at 0.1 percent. Bank of Australia follows BOJ with its interest rate announcement at 04:30, previously at the level of 2.5 percent.
At 08:30, the UK releases Manufacturing Production data for August, previously reported at 2.2 percent on an annual basis.
On Wednesday October 8th, there’s an event out of Asia when China reports its third-quarter GDP rate at 02:00. CNY traders are looking for signals that show an improvement or decrease on its previously reported figure of 7.5 percent.
Cable cross traders should check out the NIESR GDP Estimate for the UK, due out at 14:00 and previously reported at 0.6 percent.
Thursday the 9th brings more market-moving events, starting with Australia’s Unemployment Rate for September, released at 01:30 and previously at the level of 6.1 percent. Bank of England weighs in with its Interest Rate Decision at 11:00, previously at 0.5 percent. This closely-watched data could have an impact on Cable crosses, so don’t miss it. On Friday the 10th, Canada releases its Unemployment Rate for September at 12:30. The report for August disappointed investors after an unexpected rise in unemployment to seven percent, so our analysts expect some movement on the CAD crosses depending on the result.
