Argentina's economy performed a sharper contraction, compared to the expectations, declining 4.3%, year-on-year, for the month of June, as per the nation's latest official data on growth.

Argentina's economy decelerates

The Argentinian economic activity for the first six months of 2016 dropped, compared to the same period in 2015, by 1.3%, the NSAI reported.

Furthermore, the economic activity shrank 0.3% on a seasonal basis in June since May.

Moreover, as per Macri's estimations, Argentina's economy is expected to escalate in 2017 by 3.5% due to new direct investments.
