Following a busy week with three G10 central bank meetings on the calendar, this one gets lighter, at least in terms of scheduled events and economic releases. Germany’s preliminary CPI data for March and the US core PCE index, the Fed’s favorite inflation gauge, will be in focus. The final US and UK GDP data for Q4 are coming out as well.
On Monday, no major events or indicators are scheduled on the agenda.
On Tuesday, the only releases worth mentioning are the US Conference Board Consumer Confidence index and the Richmond Fed manufacturing index, both for March. The CB index is forecast to have risen to 131.2 from 130.8 in February, while the Richmond index is expected to have declined to 23 from 28 previously.
