Yesterday, the US dollar came under selling interest after US President Trump fired Secretary of State Rex Tillerson. The only G10 currency against which the greenback managed to gain was the Loonie, which tumbled after BoC Governor said that Canada could have more growth without generating higher inflation.
Trump Steals the Show Once Again
The dollar traded lower against all but two of the other G10 currencies on Tuesday. The main gainers were GBP, EUR, and CHF in that order, while the lone loser was CAD, which tumbled on remarks from BoC Governor Poloz (See below). The greenback traded virtually unchanged against AUD.
