U.S. dollar to 3-week highs


The U.S. dollar traded to 3-week highs versus its major counterparts today, amid the investors and traders focusing on the FED's decision on monetary policy, as the geopolitical concerns intensify pressurizing gains.


U.S. dollar index to 101.14


The U.S. dollar index traded to 101.14. The economy in the U.S. introduced 98,000 jobs last month. The majority of the investors pay great attention to the tensions in Syria.


The USD/JPY pair traded to 111.33 appreciating 0.2%, the EUR/USD to 1.0584, and the GBP/USD to 1.2388 escalating 0.18%. The AUD/USD approached the 0.7491 while previously trading close to the 0.7477 area.


Oil higher upon geopolitical tensions


Today, oil prices escalated following the geopolitical tensions between Syria and the U.S. last week.


Crude reached the $52.62 area rising 0.73% or 38 cents, and brent to $55.69 adding 0.81% or 45 cents.
