Gold weakens in EU session
The precious metal, gold, traded weaker during the EU trading session, amid the traders and the investors focusing more on safe-haven assets following the French election's outcome where Emmanuel Macron won the first round.
Gold futures to $1,272.34 a troy ounce
Gold futures on the Comex division traded to $1,272,34 a troy ounce falling 1.3% or $16.80, while spot gold approached $1,271.20 declining 1%.
Elsewhere, copper futures reached $2.573 a pound adding 2.2 cents, palladium to $798.55 an ounce rising 1%, and platinum to $971.20 declining 0.7%.
