Gold futures higher to $1,259.80
Gold futures on the Comex division traded to $1,259.80 a troy ounce rising 0.5% or $5.80.
Silver futures for delivery in May approached $218.36 a troy ounce rising 0.8% or 15.0 cents.
Copper futures reached $2.600 a pound falling 0.3 cents, whereas palladium traded to $803.20 an ounce adding 0.2% and platinum to $959.30 appreciating 0.1%.
