Company Overview

Exness Crypto Review

Broker Overview

Exness is a multi-asset broker and a cryptocurrency broker offering services in most countries except the U.S. and some sanctioned jurisdictions. One of its top offerings in addition to forex is the newest asset class of cryptocurrencies. Not only does the broker offer these innovative assets, they also have a very wide variety as a CFD broker. Exness has a global presence, with six offices around the world, and support offered in 15 different languages. With a founding date of 2008 it also has a long history and is well respected within its industry.

In order to support its global client base Exness has also achieved regulation through a number of well-known regulators. Exness boasts low fees, transparency, and honesty. In the research conducted as part of our Exness review we found that these are not idle boasts.

Traders can choose from four different platforms, and four different account types. It has a low entry barrier of $10 minimum deposit, however it is more appropriate for more seasoned traders thanks to its low fees and competitive conditions. Let’s take a deeper look through our Exness broker review.

Discussing Regulations

Of course we looked at the regulatory background of Exness. Exness is regulated and licensed by the following authorities:

● Exness (SC) Ltd is a Securities Dealer registered in Seychelles with registration number 8423606-1 and authorized by the Financial Services Authority (FSA) with license number SD025.

● Exness B.V. is a Securities Intermediary registered in Curaçao with registration number 148698(0) and authorized by the Central Bank of Curaçao and Sint Maarten (CBCS) with license number 0003LSI.

● Exness (VG) Ltd is authorized by the Financial Services Commission (FSC) in BVI with registration number 2032226 and investment business license number SIBA/L/20/1133.

● Exness ZA (PTY) Ltd is authorized by the Financial Sector Conduct Authority (FSCA) in South Africa as a Financial Service Provider (FSP) with registration number 2020/234138/07 and FSP number 51024.

Risk Warning: The Exness services relate to complex derivative products (CFDs) traded outside an exchange. These products come with a high risk of losing money rapidly due to leverage and thus are not appropriate for all investors.

Fees

In our Exness review we found no inactivity fee, no deposit fees and no withdrawal fees.

Are Fees at Exness Competitive?

Exness prides itself on its competitive fee structure. Cryptocurrency traders enjoy no swap fees on the cryptocurrency CFDs offered.

* Standard - No swap fee on stocks, cryptocurrencies, indices, and XAU/USD
** Extended No swap fee on indices, stocks, cryptocurrencies, and the following: AUD/NZD, AUD/USD, EUR/CHF, EUR/USD, GBP/JPY, GBP/USD, NZD/USD, USD/CAD, USD/CHF, USD/JPY, USOIL, AUD/CHF, AUD/JPY, EUR/AUD, EUR/CAD, EUR/GBP, EUR/JPY, EUR/NZD, GBP/CHF, GBP/NZD, NZD/JPY, NZD/CAD, XAU/USD

Spread/Trading Fees

Spreads are an important consideration. The lower they are, the better for traders. Exness advertises low spreads across its products and forex spreads are as low as 0 pips in certain accounts. Even though in some instances we found spreads on cryptocurrencies, we don’t believe that they can be offsetting. However, traders need to keep these large spreads in mind when trading cryptocurrencies.

Overall we feel that the spreads at Exness for most asset classes are quite competitive within the forex and CFD industry.

Swap Fees

In our Exness review we found that Exness offers many different assets free of swaps, and that includes its cryptocurrency offerings. There are two swap-free levels: Standard and Extended.

The standard swap-free level applies to stocks, cryptocurrencies, indices, and XAU/USD. All other offered instruments do have swap fees.

The extended swap-free level gives trades access to indices, cryptocurrencies, and stocks free of swaps. In addition, all the following currency pairs are free of swap fees: AUD/NZD, AUD/USD, EUR/CHF, EUR/USD, GBP/JPY, GBP/USD, NZD/USD, USD/CAD, USD/CHF, USD/JPY, USOIL, AUD/CHF, AUD/JPY, EUR/AUD, EUR/CAD, EUR/GBP, EUR/JPY, EUR/NZD, GBP/CHF, GBP/NZD, NZD/JPY, NZD/CAD, XAU/USD. However, swap fees are charged for all other instruments on the platform.

Deposit and Withdrawal

Deposits and withdrawals are important considerations. Traders need to know that they can make deposits and withdrawals via their preferred channels. They also want to know that withdrawals are processed as quickly as possible. And of course, they want deposits and withdrawals to be free of fees. Exness checks all these boxes. Exness charges no deposit or withdrawal fees, but cannot guarantee that these payment processors do not have their own transaction fees.

Deposit and Withdrawal Methods

As part of our Exness review, we found they provide a good variety of deposit and withdrawal options. Cryptocurrency traders will appreciate that Bitcoin and USDT are two accepted deposit methods. Here is the complete list of deposit channels:

● USD or Tether

● Bitcoin

● Bank Card

● Perfect Money

● Neteller

● Skrill

● SticPay

● Internal Transfer

One of Exness’ core advantages is the wide list of payment providers it offers in different regions and each trader can find their available deposit methods within their Personal Area. Most deposit and withdrawal methods are quite rapid too. Bitcoin transactions post within 4 hours, while USDT can take up to 72 hours.

Minimum and Maximum Deposit and Withdrawal

Tradable Markets and Products

We found Exness has a solid range of instruments available, including forex, stocks, indices, metals, energies, and of course cryptocurrencies. While other brokers have a better stock selection, few CFD brokers have the range of cryptocurrencies that Exness offers.

The instruments available for trading at Exness include the following:

Cryptocurrencies: Exness offers 27 different cryptocurrencies.

Currency Pairs: Over 100 different currency pairs are available.

Indices: 10 of the leading global stock indices are available on the Exness platform.

Stock CFDs: There are 98 stock CFDs on offer at Exness.

Commodity CFDs: Exness offers 7 commodity CDFs in metals and energy complexes.

Please note that the list of assets being offered by Exness is constantly expanding.

Exness Leverage Offered

Leverage is what allows a trader to get exposure to a much larger position than they might have the available capital for in their account. Leverage can greatly increase the profit potential for any trade, however, the reverse is also true, it magnifies the potential losses if the trade goes against the trader.

At Exness, traders can take advantage of unlimited leverage in some cases, however, the amount of leverage available is limited in many cases by a number of factors. These include regulatory requirements, the trader’s jurisdiction, the size of the trader’s account, and the asset being traded. Because leverage has the potential to magnify both profits and losses, traders should always take care to use the appropriate amount of leverage in line with their trading experience and their risk profile.

Exness offers unlimited leverage on all accounts and gives its clients access to a calculator that works out the maximum leverage and margin requirements according to the trader’s current level of account equity. Leverage for crypto, however, is fixed and varied depending on the crypto asset traded. The fixed leverage for Bitcoin and Ethereum, for example, is 1:400, and some other altcoins like Solana offer leverage of 1:20.

Disclaimer: CFDs are complex instruments and come with a high risk of losing money rapidly due to leverage.

Trading Platform and tools

The trading platform you use is a key part of the trading experience. A good trading platform should be secure, blazing fast, and user-friendly. All while also offering the necessary tools to make it in the fast-paced trading world. Exness offers three of the best platforms available: MetaTrader 4, MetaTrader 5, and their proprietary Exness Trading Terminal and app. Below is a more detailed description of all of these trading platforms.

MetaTrader 4 & MetaTrader 5

Experienced traders almost certainly have come across these two world-class trading platforms before, and they’ll likely be happy to see them offered by Exness. MetaTrader is one of the best-known names in forex and CFD trading, and for good reason. They tick all the boxes when it comes to trading any asset, including cryptocurrencies. Here are some of the features you can expect:

● Available in 31 languages.

● Trade right from the chart.

● One-click trading.

● Alerts delivered via audio, an email, or push notification to a mobile device.

● Watchlists and live quotes from the Market Watch panel.

Charting

Charting is critically important to technical traders who need to identify key technical levels, entry levels, and exit levels. MetaTrader offers the following charting features:

● 38 technical indicators.

● 44 analytical objects.

● 21 time frames.

● 3 chart types.

Exness Terminal

The Exness Terminal is a proprietary web app, requiring no download. Built with the latest HTML 5 technology, it offers traders an intuitive interface and popular features such as watchlists, 1-click trading, and trading from the chart. Charts are provided through TradingView and the platform has the following features:

● 50 drawing tools

● 100 indicators

● 9 time frames

● 7 chart types

There are also a wide variety of order types available which include market orders and pending orders (buy limit, buy stop, sell limit, sell stop, buy stop limit, sell stop limit, take profit and stop loss). Unfortunately, trailing stop orders and time in force orders (such as GTC) are not available in the Exness Terminal.

Traders will appreciate some of the unique features baked into Exness Terminal, such as a sentiment indicator that tells you the percentage of buy and sell orders that were recently opened by traders using Exness.

Mobile Trading

Besides offering MetaTrader 4 and 5 for mobile, the Exness broker also offers their proprietary mobile app, Exness Trader. All four are available for iOS and Android and provide access to over 200 instruments.

Traders will appreciate the Exness Terminal mobile app as it is user-friendly and intuitive, making it perfect for beginners and experienced traders alike. The app provides access to instant deposits and withdrawals and 24/7 customer support.

How to open an account

Registering and opening an Exness account is a simple four-step process.

Step 1: Navigate to the Exness website at https://www.exness.com/. Find the yellow “Open Account” button at the top right of the page and click it.

Step 2: Fill in the form that appears. It’s short, asking for the applicant’s country of residence, email, and a password used to log into the Exness website and the Exness Trader app.

Step 3: Once your information has been submitted you’ll be taken to a new page to choose between a demo account or a real money account. If the real money account is chosen they will also choose which account type they would like. Note that users can open multiple accounts, and with each new account the trader can choose a different account type, account currency, leverage, and more.

Step 4: Begin trading.

Customer Support

Many traders don’t consider customer support very much when choosing a broker, but we feel it’s one of the more important aspects of the broker. Exness excels when it comes to customer service.

Exness support is somewhat unique in the broker industry as it’s available 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Compare that with the majority of brokers who only offer support Monday through Friday. Exness also goes the extra mile by offering support in English, Chinese, and Thai. Support can be reached via email, chat, and phone.

They also offer support in 13 different languages.

When you contact support via chat you’ll start out with a chatbot. If the bot is unable to answer your question or resolve your concern you’ll be sent to a live representative. When we tested the live chat functionality we waited less than one minute to be connected. We asked a variety of questions and received polite, knowledgeable responses in all cases. We also tested email support and found it takes several days to receive a reply in some cases. If you need immediate assistance we recommend you use either online chat or the telephone option.

Research tools

When it comes to research Exness has a number of tools baked right into their trading platform, which is very convenient for traders. These research tools include breaking news from the FXStreets Insights team. Traders get an easily digestible breakdown of major market themes, along with technical insight in the form of major support and resistance areas. Exness also provides an economic calendar showing key economic data releases, their expected impact, and both forecasts and the actual figures when released.

Trading signals are provided by Trading Central and these include technical analysis, giving traders major support and resistance areas that can be used to help determine entry and exits for trades. The trading data presented can be used in either intra-day trading or longer trades.

Trading Central WebTV is also available via the Exness website. Daily videos provide market commentary and trading ideas, along with news coming directly from the floor of the New York Stock Exchange.

Informational content / educational content

We found that Exness offers little in the way of education for traders. While Exness’ education resources are limited it is worth noting that the multi-asset broker targets more experienced traders overall.

Conclusion

Exness is a solid all-around broker. Their long history and variety of regulatory oversight gives the broker an air of trust and safety. Fees and costs for trading are kept to a minimum, which is appreciated by all. And traders have access to powerful trading platforms and research tools to make trading more accessible. The variety of account types means Exness is suitable for every type and experience level of trader. Those who are looking to trade on cryptocurrencies will surely be pleased by the broad offerings, but Exness doesn’t let you down when it comes to other asset classes either. And of course the potential for high levels of leverage is welcome. We were pleased to review Exness, and hope you’ve found it useful.
