Jamil Nazarali

Jamil Nazarali is head of Citadel Execution Services, a division of Citadel Securities, a leading retail equity and listed equity options market maker in the United States. Citadel Securities executes over 21 percent of daily U.S. listed equity option volume and 13 percent of U.S. equity volume. Nazarali also oversees Citadel's algorithmic trading business and Apogee, Citadel Securities' alternative trading system. Before joining Citadel in 2011, Nazarali was global head of electronic trading at Knight Capital Group. Previously, he was a management consultant at Ernst & Young and Bain & Co. Nazarali serves on the board of managers of Direct Edge Holdings LLC and the boards of Equiduct and NYSE Liffe. He is also a member of the New York Stock Exchange Electronic Trading Advisory Committee. Nazarali received a bachelor's degree from the University of Western Ontario and an M.B.A. from the University of Chicago.
