With Q4 2017 annualised growth of 6.80% and similar gains for all of 2017, China looks set to grow another 6.7-6.8% in 2018. China’s Purchasing Manager Index clocked in slightly for January than for December, but this is due to Peking’s pressure to cut pollution in heavy manufacturing industries and to reduce shadow banking. December 2017 annual trade data were healthy, as were those for consumer prices and retail sales.
