As the founder and President of Salt Lake City-based Forex trading company Interbank FX, Todd Crosland has risen from an aspiring entrepreneur with little knowledge of the foreign-exchange industry to one of the field?s leading lights. Having earned numerous awards, Todd Crosland earned first place in the Utah Business Magazine Fast 50, finalist status in the financial-services category of the Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year Awards, and Utah Business Magazine?s CEO of the Year award. Todd Crosland began his business career as the co-founder and CFO of Surgical Technologies, Inc., a manufacturer of cardiovascular medical devices. After leading the company through a successful IPO, Todd Crosland began developing residential property in Utah, working with over $160 million worth of lots to build his real-estate investment company, TBC, from the ground up. After he became aware of the currency-trading practice of using broker dealing desks, Todd Crosland felt this practice unfairly inflated prices. Todd Crosland decided to lead a revolution in the currency-trading industry by helping investors go directly to banking partners to obtain quotes, allowing them to secure the fairest prices. Thanks to Todd Crosland?s perseverance and willingness to build client relationships, Interbank FX became a thriving company. The firm has grown 60,000% from 2004 to 2008, earning a spot on the elite Inc. 500 list and winning Money AM?s awards for Best Online FX provider and Best Online Education. With over 30,000 clients in more than 140 countries, Interbank FX trades in excess of $80 billion a month. Though committed to his company?s success, Todd Crosland also promotes a work/life balance for Interbank FX employees, hosting chili cook-offs, foosball tournaments, and volunteer days with Habitat for Humanity and Utah Food Bank. In his own spare time, Todd Crosland enjoys hunting and fishing, and is a frequent traveler.
