Weekly Outlook: Nov 20 – Nov 24; FOMC Minutes, U.K. GDP & Markit PMIs Ahead

This week will be quiet in the market as the one just passed. All eyes will be on the FOMC minutes that will be published on Wednesday, while the Financial Stability Review for Eurozone will take place on Tuesday. The RBA will release its meeting minutes overnight and traders will focus on the German, U.S. and E.U. Markit PMIs as well as on the U.K. Q3 GDP.
Monday’s economic calendar is light with few notable macro updates. In the morning, German producer price index will be released as well as the German Buba monthly report. In the Eurozone, notable speeches will take place, ECB’s member Lautenschlager, ECB’s President Mario Draghi as well as ECB’s Vice President Vitor Constancio. Overnight, the Reserve Bank of Australia will publish its meeting’s minutes two weeks after the interest rate decision that remained at 1.5%.
On Tuesday, European Union will publish its Financial Stability Review while U.K.’s inflation hearings report will be announced early in the morning. Later in the day, Fed’s Chair Janet Yellen will give a speech.
On Wednesday, one of the market-affecting events of the day is the non-monetary policy’s ECB meeting as well as the FOMC minutes later in the day. Moreover, in the U.K. the autumn forecast statement report will be released. Going to the U.S., the durable goods orders for October are forecasted to show a moderate increase of 0.1% versus 2.2% before on a month-over-month basis. Eurozone’s preliminary consumer confidence for November is forecasted to create a negative figure at -0.75 from -1.0 before.
