Tuesday will be particularly quiet in terms of economic data although we do have speeches from ECB President Mario Draghi, BoE’s Governor Carney and Fed Chair Janet Yellen which will be the day’s focus. Gold hit our target on yesterday's session while euro, British pound and U.S dollar remained firm.
Euro Failed to Surprise for Another Session
The euro traded mixed against the G10 basket on Monday and early Tuesday while the EUR/USD pair tried for a bullish run yesterday but at the end, it created a negative session. Monday started with the German IFO survey and the German Buba monthly report. The business climate ticked higher to 115.1 and surpassed market forecast, from 114.6 in May, as well as expectations rose marginally to 106.8 from 106.5 before. In addition, the current assessment is inclined to 124.1 from 123.3 in May. Today ECB President Mario Draghi will have a speech at 08:00 GMT.
