U.S. dollar stable over tax concerns

The U.S. dollar was stable versus its major counterparts today following the new concerns over the U.S. tax overhaul.

U.S. dollar index stable at 94.77

The U.S. dollar index traded at 94.77 stable, the USD/JPY at 113.82 declining 0.16%, the EUR/USD at 1.1593 slightly changed, and the GBP/USD to 1.3154 dropping 0.10%.

The USD/CHF reached 0.9992 stable, the AUD/USD at 0.7655 rising 0.17%, the NZD/USD to 0.6910 0.16% higher, and the USD/CAD to 1.2765 falling 0.12%.

Gold higher in Asia's session

The precious metal, gold, traded higher during the early Asian trading session amid the political risk escalating following Trump's speech to the South Korean parliament.

In the New York Mercantile Exchange on the Comex division, the gold futures for delivery in December approached $1,277.98 a troy ounce rising 0.17%.

Platinum futures traded to $924.95 losing 1.07% and the silver futures to $16.94 falling 1.71%.
