After rising U.S. inflation data more than expected on Wednesday, Dow Jones dropped more than 100 points but closed higher 253 points. The inflation also makes non-yielding gold less attractive so gold price may stand tall. World share may take breath today and some Asian countries have a holiday such as China, Hong Kong, Singapore and Vietnam.
GBP/USD may swing by U.K. and U.S. indices: core retail sales and retail sales in U.K. at 16.30 p.m. as well as U.S. building permits at 20.30 and Michigan consumer sentiment at 22.00 p.m. on Friday. According to the technical analyst, the global trend of GBP/USD is bullish and it may rise higher, if pound can break 1.4055 points.
The undersecretary of the U.S. Treasury's Office of Terrorism and Financial Intelligence called on the international community for stronger cryptocurrency regulations to help protect the financial system and national security. For example rogue regimes, terrorists and others use cryptocurrencies to "exploit the financial system," "hide their ill-gotten gains" and "finance their illicit activities." While rising volume on Thursday may bitcoin price boost.
