China's manufacturing industry will likely decelerate amid the expectations that the Purchasing Managers' Index (PMI) could drop from 50.1 in April to 50.0.

China's April growth slows down

The nation's industrial profit growth in April slowed down amid the companies having made 4.2% more in profits, last month, approximately 502 billion yuan or $76.59 billion, 6.9% lower compared to March's 11.1% figure.

France

The French consumer confidence climbed from 94 to 98 while the economists and the analysts estimated stabilization at 94.

Spain

Spain's retail sales declined from 4.4% to 4.1% and did not match the analysts' predictions for a drop to 3.9%.

Switzerland

The Swiss level of employment fell from 4.897M to 4.880M and matched the analysts' expectations for a drop.
