HFTrading gives its clients the flexibility of choosing between three tiers of accounts as noted below:

Silver – This basic level of service was created to suit the novice trader. This account allows for leverage up to 1:200 on certain asset classes to help minimize risks for new traders. There is a 1.8 minimum spread, and over 300 assets are available to trade. The silver account holders also receive full 24/5 customer support and access to training seminars and webinars conducted by HFTrading.

Gold – The gold account tier is better suited for those with some experience trading the financial markets. Trading Platforms

MetaTrader 4

The primary trading platform offered is the world-class MetaTrader 4 platform. Traders can take advantage of this powerful charting and trading platform in its desktop, web, and mobile versions. MetaTrader 4 is extremely powerful, allowing its users to not only view price changes, but also to apply a large variety of technical analysis tools to the price movements. The platform also features a powerful order entry interface that permits stop-loss and take-profit orders as well as manipulating open and pending orders in a number of ways.

Web Trader

Traders who prefer to avoid downloading and installing software on their computers will appreciate the addition of the Web Trader platform. As long as you have a device with a web browser and internet connection, you’re able to access and use this powerful trading platform. For those who do use MetaTrader 4 at times the Web Trader immediately synchs with MT4. Plus Web Trader comes with a large array of technical analysis tools so traders can always remain on top of market price changes.

Mobile Trading

HFTrading understands that the 21st century trader is often a mobile trader. We love moving about and staying connected with our smart phones. Thanks to the powerful MT4 mobile versions, available for both Android and iOS devices, there’s never a reason you can’t access your trading account and either open or close positions. The mobile version of MT4 does suffer from some difficulty in using the platform for technical analysis, but it’s great for placing trades. It’s free, so you can download it anytime and take it for a test drive to decide for yourself how useful the mobile MT4 platform is.

Available Assets

There are six asset classes available from HFTrading. These are:

  • Forex
  • Commodities
  • Shares
  • Indices
  • Metals
  • Cryptocurrencies

The inclusion of such a diversity of assets makes it easier to find trading opportunities no matter what the markets are doing.

Besides having no commissions on trading, there are also no other additional fees to consider outside the spreads, which are very competitive. Traders have access to one of the broadest offerings of cryptocurrency CFDs, and shares from all around the world on a 24-hour basis. The forex offerings stretch to more than 45 currency pairings, and the commodities include oil, corn, and more than 20 additional hard and soft commodities.

Education and Research

The education and research offerings are mixed at HFTrading. While the educational offerings include eBooks and videos, alongside more basic articles and trading guides, the research is very slim. When looking at the eBooks on offer we found not only basics of trading, but also works dealing with risk management, the psychology of trading, and advanced technical analysis. The online videos aren’t as deep, but also include trading strategies, social trading, and a breakdown of trading tools.

Customer Service

The customer service at HFTrading ranges from the basic support line to dedicated account managers. Customer service can be contacted by phone, via online chat, through a webform, or via email. Each method of contact works well, and the agents are quite responsive. Support is available Monday through Friday from 10:00am to 11:00pm GMT.

In Conclusion

HFTrading is a fairly new entrant into the CFD trading industry, having been purchased recently by CTRL Investments Ltd. That does not make the financial services provider bad or good, it just means there has not been much time for the financial services provider to create a history to help traders decide if they are worth using. And that is why we have taken the time to put together this review.

What we have found is the financial services provider is definitely on the right path and is a good choice for traders of all levels. We like the use of the MetaTrader 4 platform, and the wide variety of assets available. The competitive spreads are another positive, and platinum level accounts can run automated trading strategies on the free VPS provided by HFTrading. All in all, we found it to be a solid choice for Australian and New Zealand Traders.
